Abstract

The regular maintenance of conveyor belting, rubber cover wear evaluation and early damage repair help to prolong its lifetime and to increase the operation reliability. The lifetime extension decreases operation cost and production losses due to breakdowns. The conveyor belting breakdowns cause stoppage of complete technological lines, thus they are one of key elements in production, respective mining process. It is clear, that selection of optimal maintenance type is key, to achieve maximal operational reliability. As part of work task, I worked on: - Research and analysis of above mentioned problematic in relation to the quarry mining processes - Proposal for use of operational technical diagnostics including procedure for implementation into operation - Evaluation of operational and diagnostic measurements in selected locality - Economic evaluation for different maintenance types
