Abstract

My work deals with the characteristics of municipal waste, the fabric composition and quantity of produced municipal waste and separate collection of waste. In the first section I pointed out some basic concepts in the field of waste management and legislation on waste management. Furthermore the thesis also describes priorities and strategies for waste management. Finally, the work includes methods of processing waste, including landfill and thermal methods of waste disposal.
