Softwarová aplikace pro monitorování WiFi parametrů pro PC

Abstract

The objective of my final thesis was the analysis regarding aplication for monitoring WiFi parameters development, including standards 802.11b/g, for instance: BSSID, SSID, WEP security or RSSI. Following steps were to realize the application development, related to the previous analysis. As a programming language was chosen Java, mainly for its following features: multiplatformity, opportunity to use integrated development environment for free and being very wide-spread. Software application was developed basicly for Windows XP operating system. Its core, or in other words, the engine of the application, finally named WiFiScanner, was created on the basis of open-source project libraries called PlaceLab from Intel Corporation. In the thesis are precisely described all steps of development, specified the most important parts of the code and testing under the real environment conditions. Final version of fully operational application was released under the number 1.2. As an appendix the reference manual for the application is included.
