Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out which tools of the active employment policy were the most effective in reducing unemployment in Frýdek-Místek district during the period from 2007 to 2011, and furthermore, on what groups of people were the most focused. In the theoretical part the key words are concerning a legal regulation of the active employment policy are explained. There is also explained the unemloyment, its impacts, occurring types of unemloyment and the ways how to quantify it. The beginning of the practical part deals with short geographical features of Frýdek-Místek district and initial problems of unemloyment on the local labour market. Then follows the analysis of the tools of the active emloyment policy. Each tool of the active employment policy is assessed in terms of usability on the most endangered groups of job seekers on the labour market in each comparison period. Shares of these groups of seekers, who participated in the period of active employment policy, are then compared to the average share, which consists of the total quantity of job seekers. The final evaluation of programmes targeting to certain groups of job seekers comes out from the comparison of the percent representation in all programmes of the active emloyment policy for the whole projection period.
