Abstract

This thesis examines the methodology for the use of evacuation mats by firefighting units. The theoretical section will describe mattress-type evacuation mats and bariatric evacuation mats, along with a proposal for their inclusion in fire department emergency vehicles. The main focus will be on the practical section, which will include a test of how fire protection units should properly handle individuals during evacuation using evacuation mats placed under mattresses, as well.
