Význam antibiotik v environmentálních studiích mikroorganismů

Abstract

The presented thesis provides basic information on antibiotics and their influence on the microbial cell and the bacterial population as a whole. In the very first part there is a concise characteristic of antibiotics and a description of its historical development. The following part informs about the problems of resistance to antibiotics, its origin and mechanisms and precautions against its expansion. Antibiotics are then divided into several categories. The next part aims its effort at the microbial susceptibility testing and also includes the determination of sensitivity of the important bacterial genus Rhodococcus to some basic antibiotics. In the last part some ways of searching for the new varieties of antibacterial substances are mentioned.
