Abstract

The solved area of the bachelor's thesis is located near Masaryk Square in Moravian Ostrava. At this point, Zámecká Street intersects with Dlouhá Street. Plot No. 434/2 with an area of 457 m2 has rectangular character, the boundary of this plot is partly built up with surrounding buildings and partly open to the street area. The main task is to design a building that takes into account the surrounding historic buildings. The proposed building on this plot is seven floors with one floor in the basement, where there is a technical background for commercial or residential premises. The butch function is complemented by commercial areas on the first floor. The main entrances to the building are from Dlouhá Street. The whole building will be covered partly by a walkable roof, serving as a terrace and partly by a non-walkable flat roof. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, consisting of a text part and drawing documentation. The drawing documentation is prepared according to the assignment of the bachelor's thesis. The specialization of the work is architecture.
