Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe new experience, knowledge and the tasks assigned to the student in order to complete his intership in Dopravní podnik Ostrava a.s. The intership was realized in the two particular departments, Traction Substations and Contact Line. The part of the thesis dealing with the traction substations consists of the revisory mechanisms on the substation's machineries and devices. The other part dealing with the traction mains describes an old tram rail-switch system based on isolated sections power-supplied through toroidal coil, and recently introduced entirely non-contact rail-switching system using inductive loops.
