Abstract

In this work are described the possibilities of producing metal foams, especially aluminum foams with focus on the automotive industry. In this industry is the great future potential in mass production and in the application. Due to technical features such as excellent ability to absorb energy, which seems to be a huge plus in accidents. Among the other is a fast and efficient heat exchange, which can be applied in heat exchangers and as a material for various coolers. In the practical part of the thesis focuses on removing the remaining gypsum in the structure of foamed metal of aluminum alloy in foundry casting methods on evaporated model.
