Abstract

The topic of my diploma thesis is "Human Resource Management in a small organization." Human resources represent for each organization the most valuable and usually the most expensive resource whose management should be given to all efforts. On the quality of human resource management depends not only organizations´ succes, but also survival in the world turbulent conditions, because in human resources and its rational management can be found the key to prosperity. The aim of my thesis is to analyze the current situation of human resource management in a small organization and subsequently submit proposals to improve the system and decide about efficient changes. The first part is on theoretical sources named personnel activities, a summary of important facts, findings and advices on human resources management regarding the specificities of small organizations. The second part analyzes the current situation of human resource management through observation method directly in the company, by analysis of internal company´s documentation and materials, interviews with the employees and especially the anonymous questionnaire survey. Current situation I compare with theoretical knowledge regarding to the factors that affect this situation and subsequently I propose suitable measures to improve the situation. For the organization I suggest specific measures which contribute to a better functioning of the organization as a whole.
