Abstract
The analysis of coal mining and the consumption of brown coal is the main topic of this thesis. This analysis is made for the next ten year‘s period.
The first part of the thesis describes the North- Czech region. Historical review of brown coal mining is mentioned.
Decrease of the quantity in mining activities is analyzed. I draw on the government rule 444/91 and environmental problems that rises due to mining activities. Interaction between needs of energy and decreases of real quantity mined coal is content of the next part of thesis.
The next part deals with the social and economy problems that are due to closure the main coal mining plant CSA.
After reading this thesis everybody should know the answer how much will our community have to pay, if don’t use resources of brown coal.
