Abstract

The issue of imprisonment of people and their correction are more and more topical these days. This Degree Work is focused on the re-socialization of prisoners in the sphere of their employment. The goal of this Work is to uphold the hypothesis that application of various forms of employment during the service of a sentence of imprisonment enables imprisoned persons to integrate more easily into the society later. The Work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the legislature relating to employment of the imprisoned and further, the importance of employment of these people is emphasized. The second part describes various forms of employment of the imprisoned in the Czech state prisons. The third part is focused on employment of the imprisoned in the State Prison of Nové Sedlo, and on the recommendation to increase employment in prisons. Conclusion of the Degree Work evaluates employment of the imprisoned as a significant re-socialization factor and proposes precautions that must be taken in the sphere of the employment.
