Abstract

Thesis is focused on a microstructural characteristics of selected biocompatible TiNi based alloys produced by centrifugal casting and swaging. It is focused on a general description of memory effect materials. It describes pseudoelasticity, one and two way shape memory effects. There is also a description of corrosion resistance, biocompatibility and processes of Ni-Ti based alloys. Thesis also deals with detailed description of manufacturing process. Conclusion contains possibilities of application Ni-Ti based alloys, that are currently used in aviation, cosmonautics, medicine, automotive industry and military industry. Most of the conclusion is devoted to evaluation of experimental work partial results.
