Vliv požárů skládek komunálních odpadů na kontaminaci životního prostředí

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with fire emissions that are released during fires of municipal solid waste landfills. It resolves technical protection of municipal waste landfills which - when properly designed - minimizes the risk of fires and consequent threat to the environment. In addition, the thesis is concerned with most common materials that are deposited to municipal solid waste landfills and which waste emissions are being released during their combustion and how they impact on the environment and human being health. The last section describes the methods firefighters use when fire fighting municipal solid waste landfills.
