Abstract
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare selected consumer loans that are offered by banking and non-banking lenders in the Czech Republic and to determine which of the offered consumer loan is the most advantageous. The thesis is divided into five chapters where the first one is the introduction and the last one is the conclusion. The second chapter is focused on a characteristic of consumer loans. In the third chapter there is a descripiton of a methodology of multiple-criteria decision analysis. The comparison of the selected consumer loans is accomplished in the fourth chapter. First of all, a client is defined, then variants which are selected consumer loans that are offered by eight banks, five non-banking companies and four retailers that offer instalment sale, are set. The next step is to set five criteria with a different rate of importance. After that weights of the criteria are calculated via the weighting by ranking method, the Fuller's pairwise comparison method, the weighting by rating method and the Saaty's method. In the end of the chapter the variants are compared via the weighted ranking method, the weighted sum approach method, the lexicographic method, the TOPSIS method and the Saaty's method. Eventually the overall ranking of the variants according to all the used methods and the best variant was determined.
