Abstract

This thesis deals with an evaluation of restoration measures carried on a stream. First part describes briefly a channel improvement issue and the need of their restoration, general principles, and the goals of restoration. There are also mentioned some grant programmes and legislative tools. The next part applies to an evaluation of restoration effect and comparison of some applied metodics. There is also mentioned a concrete metodics for evaluation of restoration success. Next, there is evaluated a concrete locality, described its condition before the restoring action, measures carried on it and its actual condition. In the last part there are some suggestions for eventual improvement and maintenance.
