KROCZEK, A. ATTACHED HOUSE IN PRAHA-BŘENOV: Bachelor’s thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture, 2017, 46s., Thesis supervisor: Ing. arch. Kateřina Riedlova, Ph.D.
The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the elaboration of the project documentation for the execution of the construction of an attached family house in the Břevnov wolds in Prague. The thesis is based on an architectural study carried out during a year project in the subject Architecture Design Studio I from 2014/2015 and the building permit documentation from the subject Architecture Design Studio Va from 2016/2017. The thesis is divided into a textual and a drawing part.
The family house is built in a vacant lot between other objects and therefore completes the attached buildings. This location precisely defines the object spatially. The concept of the house is concerned with family relationships by supporting them with its open living space in the ground floor. This space connects the object horizontally as well as vertically, and opens out into an outdoor terrace.
