Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on the technical efficiency of delegated powers of municipalities with extended powers. The Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method was chosen to evaluate efficiency. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the technical efficiency of municipalities with extended powers for the period 2013-2017 according to the model of Date Envelopment Analysis. All 205 municipalities with extended powers were evaluated and divided to 5 group based on the size of population of the administrative district in 2017. Two input parameters and two output parameters were chosen for the calculation of technical efficiency. The fulfillment of the goal was supported by two hypotheses. The hypothesis on the technical efficiency of H1 was not confirmed only in the largest size group V. The hypothesis on H2 productivity was confirmed only in II. and IV. size groups.
