Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on developing principles to ensure the sustainability of a business continuity management system as a key element of corporate crisis management. The introductory section addresses the concept of business continuity management, including its benefits and reasons for implementation in a company. The following section presents a framework for implementing the system within an organization and defines the fundamental steps necessary to establish an effective business continuity management system. The thesis then explores the concept of sustainability and its relationship to business continuity management. Another section explains the PDCA cycle as a whole and its connection to the business continuity management system. In the final section, principles for ensuring the sustainability of the business continuity management system in a company are formulated, thereby fulfilling the main objective of the diploma thesis.
