Abstract

The results of spatial interpolation of the content of methane and carbon dioxide in the soil air based on the measured values are important especially for dangerous areas which are mainly researched undermined areas in the Ostrava-Karvina region. The objective of my work was to recommend a suitable interpolation method for a specific area. The following interpolation methods were evaluated: method of the inverse distances, method of the nearest neighbor, method of the natural neighbors, modified Shepard method, method the radial functions, triangulation with a linear regression and kriging which were applied on two selected areas with detailed measures of the soil atmogeochemistry. The method of the basic kriging was recommended as the most suitable one with best resuls in both areas. The results of this work can be used to optimize the setting of individual methods.
