Abstract
This thesis deals with the use of sorbents based on brown coal and waste from crude oil processing for the isolation of 4-nonylphenol from aqueous environments. Prepared sorbents were subjected to characterization comprising elemental analysis, determination
of oxygen-containing groups, thermogravimetry, and sorption monitoring of methylene blue and 4-nonylphenol. The work was created in response to research conducted
at the Department of Chemistry FMMI within the project SGS.
