Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with proposal of accommodation complex and other necessary facilities for sage life of post-productive aged inhabitance with respect to the law no. 183/2006 as amended by Act no. 499/2006. The project was worked out as a theoretical study. This type of accommodation will be situated in Moravian-Silesian region within structure of the city of Štramberk, nearby the core area. The structure of the city is assumed to be stabilized demographically. The proposal is based on analysis and evaluation of current state of the region. On the bases of analysis the need of accommodation type and additional facilities, considering community needs, economic situation, affiliation to region and its inhabitance, will be determined. Senior must not be detached from the life of community. The aim of the study is to design one or more objects (buildings) which differentiate from currently designed institutional objects for seniors (rest home, day care home, hospice, sanatoria etc.). These types of objects often detach seniors form life of the community. Architectonic solution will respect needs of post-productive aged inhabitance (seniors) particularly.Objects will not be designed as deluxe buildings. The priority will be to respect current estate and areal scale of the city of Štramberk. Accommodation will be divided into several small scaled objects with three decks at maximum. Buildings will contain accommodation for an individual, couples or spouses. The group of accommodated users would be completed with young individuals or unmarried mothers with children. Aside from objects for accommodation there will be additional facilities for spare time and relax activities together with Tertiary University for seniors and Day Care Center (information service, organizing of trips, classes or social services for indigents). Day Care Center contains also kitchen and dining room that could supply not only accommodated users but also people from close city surrounding. Center for Activation of seniors is to be connected with current library where also the object administration employees should work. Another way how to activate seniors is to build-up new tourist pathway between significant points or dominants of the city of Štramberk. Another benefit could be gained by building-up small gardens for seniors, workrooms in two of designed objects or lounge with small coffee-bar where seniors could entertain visitors or practice social games.
