Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of processes related to the submission and processing of orders for selected types of medical and technical gases. Specifically, it deals with the process of submitting, processing, and handling the order and related tasks. The work also deals with the analysis of document automation in the process of order processing. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the whole process from the submission of the order to its delivery to the customer. Suggest possible improvements based on the findings. The main sources of data for the elaboration of the diploma thesis were interviews with employees of particular departments of the company. Furthermore, the data were obtained by observing and measuring the author of the thesis, as an employee of the company. Data from the SAP information system was also used. It was found that the processing of the order from the e-shop is partially automated. The problem is the need to manually release and edit orders. And also the missing assortment of LPG gases in the e-shop offer. Furthermore, it was found that the processing of regular deliveries is performed completely manually. This increases the chance of error and causes a waste of time. Space for the use of automation and computer support was found in the process of verifying the credit limit, which is verified and processed completely manually. It was found that the whole order handling process works properly. However, the problem is the excessive use of printing. A problem was found while receiving and processing of internal customer orders. The procedure in this process is not uniformly determined. This causes a waste of time for the employees who process these orders. Lastly, the document automation process was analyzed. Possible directions for improvement and automation were proposed. One of the proposals was, for example, the use of electronic delivery notes or the introduction of a column for a contact person in the e-shop.
