Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of removing the mercury content in emissions at the T700 heating poweplant, part of the Orlen Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. chemical refinery. The theoretical part describes the current technology of the main operating units of the T700 heating powerplant, which influencee the formation and discharge of emissions containing solid pollutants. Furthermore, the practical part describes the experimental process of reducing the mercury content in the combustion products using the product Chezacarb AC 90 based on activated carbon. The measurements indicate the possibility of using Chezacarb AC 90 as a suitable sorbent in the removal of mercury in outgoing emissions.
