Abstract
In this bachelor thesis, a change of a new semiconductor rectifier for a Leonard Drive System is proposed and its influence on the main power supply is analyzed.
In the first sections of the study these topics are presented; theoretical background for both drive systems, a description of the current situation, reasons for the change of the current drive system, results and evaluation of measurements of the current system, which are carried out with a power quality analyzer.
In the following sections, the proposed new drive system is introduced and a comparison of effectiveness for both drive systems is provided. Furthermore, newly emerged negative influences caused by the change of the drive systems and solutions for their elimination are presented. Moreover, an overall cost evaluation is given.
Finally, at the end of this thesis, assessments of an overall contribution of this study for both an investor and an author are provided.
