Abstract

This thesis clarifies main issues of municipal insurance. The costs which are connected with property insurance, liability insurance and vehicles insurance creates usually considerable part of municipal budgets. That is the main reason to focus in this thesis on quality evaluation of the insurance market before closing insurance policies. Next parts of the thesis describes theoretical and legislative bases which are very important to know before closing effective insurance programm. In the final parts of the thesis there is a practical example of choosing the most effective insurance programm through the public tender of municipal insurance and furthermore there are several recommendations for the municipal representatives to create efficient insurance. In both cases there is an emphasis on the part of choosing the most effective insurance offer or insurance coverage.
