Analýza efektivnosti vybraného investičního projektu

Abstract

The present thesis aims to analyse the effectiveness of an investment project, the completion of a high pressure segment for a turbo generator, to be implemented by XY, a.s. The principal activity of the company consists in generating, distributing and selling electricity and heat. Because of the sensitive nature of the data, the company managers wished not to disclose the company name. The thesis contains both a theoretical and an applied practical section. The theoretical part is focused on the methodology of capital planning, investment decision making and long-term funding. The practical section consists in an assessment of the investment project in tree optional varieties, funding from own sources and from outside sources as well as a combination of both, from the point of view of both the project and the investor. Finally, an OAT analysis of sensitivity is provided, concluding in an assessment of the investment effectiveness and its feasibility in term of financial return.
