Abstract

According to the Law about technical requirements for products relating to their electromagnetic compatibility, each device introduced to the market must be electromagnetically compatible with other electrical devices and shall not generate unwanted interference. The thesis focuses on electromagnetic immunity tests for circuit breakers and motor operators for remote circuit breaker control and summarizes the requirements of the relevant technical standards for these tests so that these devices may be introduced to the market under current legislation. For each test in the thesis test setups, test levels and test procedures are shown. Based on these requirements, a list of testing instruments and equipment was compiled. With these instruments all required production and precertification tests can be performed.
