Abstract

The initial section of this work presents a literature review focused on scholarly literature in the field of bonded joints, the application of adhesives, the design of bonded joints, and the influence of the environment on bonded joints. The subsequent second section describes the creation of specimens using the hand lay-up method. The surface treatment of the specimens was performed by laser cleaning. Subsequently, the specimens were bonded and then subjected to an experiment aimed at testing the resistance of the bonded joints to operating fluids commonly used in modern automobiles. The concluding section of this work evaluates the results of shear strength tests of the bonded joints.
