Těžba, vlastnosti a využití pískovců jako stavebního a dekoračního kamene v Beskydech

Abstract

The objective of bachelor thesis is assessment of mining and subsequent use of sandstone as building and ornamental stone in Beskydy mountains. First part of thesis introduces and describes the area of Beskydy mountains landscape with focus on current and past mining areas. The research is supported by photo documentation and assessment of geological structure of investigated areas. Following chapters are focused on rock massifs in mining areas and material characteristics, petro graphical structure as well as its physical & technological attributes. Last chapter of the thesis describes use of the material as building or ornamental stone.
