The work describes the usage of replacement sources of electricity for outages caused by various types of emergencies. The introductory chapters address the general aspect of the issue, the extraordinary events that may occur and their consequences depending on the grid. Various types of backup resources used to back up objects and systems are described later. In addition, there is a separate activity of fire brigade units in the solution of outages, including equipment of units and description of a specific substitute source. At the end of the thesis are presented the results of the analysis of the state of replacement sources, which was carried out by the Fire Brigade in the territory of the municipality with extended competence Ostrava, its evaluation and assessment of the situation.
