Abstract

This treatise dealing with the cause of defects in welds in the steel materials using specific methods. After the general definitions of the welding process and its principles, descripes also the microstructural processes during the welding. This thesis is focused on the weldability of the material. Follows are listed the subsequent processes after welding operations such as annealing to eliminate internal stress and vibration methods. Subsequently they defined defects which may occur in the weld joint. Next are weld testing methods to detect any defects. In the experimental part was carried out verifications to identify weld defects and possibly cause of this defect. Final result is the recommendations of the general procedures to prevent possible errors in the welding point.
