The diploma thesis deals with the safety situation in the administrative district of the municipality with extended competence Hlučín. In the introductory part, information is gathered on the area solved, focusing mainly on geographic, hydrological, climatic and demographic description. Based on the input data, extraordinary events that can affect the monitored area are selected, anappropriate methodology for risk assessment in the given area is suggested, the analysis is carried out and the measures necessary to ensure optimum safety are proposed. Furthermore, the monitored area is compared with the surrounding area.
