Implementace řešení IPTV middlewere do pasivní optické sítě WDM-PON

Abstract

The analogue television is in the process of terminating, the successor to digital television. Digital television contains several forms – a terrestrial digital broadcasting (DVB-T), cable broadcasting (DVB-C) and a satellite broadcasting (DVB-S, DVB-S2). Another way to watch digital broadcasting is IPTV technology. IPTV is a television, audio content and for example video on demand (VoD) over broadband networks. From an end user’s perspective, IPTV looks and operates just like a standard TV service. From a service provider’s perspective, IPTV encompasses the processing and secure delivery of video content over an IP based networking infrastructure. This thesis deals with the implementation of IPTV middleware solution into a passive optical access network WDM-PON.
