Abstract

The goal of bachelor´s thesis „Unions on the Czech Labour Market“ is to analyze the impact of labour unions in Czech republic. In the first part bachelor´s thesis describes the general theory of operation of trade unions in the labour market and employment. It also describes a brief history, the structure of trade unions in the Czech Republic and the collective bargaining process. The next section analyzes the activities of trade unions and their influence on wage and other benefits. The conclusion summarizes the current problems of trade unions and proposals for their solution.
