Abstract
Integration processes are an integral part of not only history but also present and the future of Europe. In the framework of regional cooperation is a tendency to create clusters of countries that combine geographical, historical, political, cultural and economic similarities in expectations of cooperation and development, especially in those areas. Similarly, this way amplifies the voice of small countries in Europe. This is also a picture of the Visegrad Group existence, which brings together the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary and Poland. During its twenty years of history it have built a strong position and deserved the respect of other countries, and this is reflected in the fact that it serves as a model for other states, particularly in the Western Balkans. This thesis analyzes the Visegrad group in the cross section of its existence, described the intensity and quality of relations between Member States in different time periods, as well as give a picture of contemplating abroad for V4 and last but not least, try to predict the fate of this group in Europe.
