Abstract

This thesis provides an overview of the differences of physical availability of housing in The Moravian-Silesian Region in terms of comparisons of housing indicators and looking for an inequality in the distribution of values of these attributes. This view maps the situation of housing development in recent years (period 2001-2009). The project is based on the research WD 05-07-3 " Regional disparities in availability and affordability of housing, their socio-economic consequences and tools directed to increase availability and affordability of housing and decrease the regional disparities“. The objective of this project is to define indicators of differences in the physical availability of housing according to the described methodology and creation of analytical tools to generate these indicators. The methodology is applied on the Region, which is further divided into smaller territorial units, ie administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence. This project offers a new analytical method for finding data distinctions, ie comparing similarity of time series data selection. This method introduces the index of distinction. This method is implemented in a software application "The Disparitier", which is part of this thesis. The analysis provides a simple model of the trends of selected indicators over time and predicting the direction of these trends in the future. The target group of solutions of this thesis are professionals in the discipline of public housing issues. The results may provide a summarization of the differences of housing availability and the results may initiate procedures to address this issue.
