Abstract

For the best application of materials is necessary to know their properties in complicated working conditions. Claims on properties of structural steels are steadily bigger for assurance of materials security, safety and service life. Permanent improvement is intention of study of mechanical properties; therefore this master thesis deals with this part of materials science. The main objective of this master thesis is evaluation of temperature dependence Charpy impact test and determination of transition temperature two smelts constructional unalloyed steal with different chemical composition with computer program MATLAB. The work is completed by metallographic and fractographic studies of examined patterns. The results of investigation verified that higher toughness at lower temperatures shows the steel with lower carbon equivalent.
