Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the solution of the problem in inventory management in a wholesale company. Its goal is an analysis of the current state of inventory management and a proposal for optimization in inventory management. The theoretical part deals with general problems of stocks and their management. The practical part includes the current status of the company's stock management, analysis using the ABC and XYZ methods and, for selected stock items, the calculation of signal and insurance stocks. Calculation of the EOQ model and, finally, suggestions and recommendations for optimizing the current state of inventory management.
