Abstract

This thesis deals with practical vertification of the speed of movement of people and the capacity of escape lane based on Czech standards and fire codes. At the beginning are analyzed basic reasons why are the speed movement of people and capacity of escape lane important. Another chapters are about the legal aspects of the evacuation in the Czech Republic and ways of designing escape routes abroad. Than the author is focusing on basic characteristics of people movement. These characteristics follows experimental measurement. It includes measurement methodology, the measurement and evaluation of the measured values. In the conclusion is a summary of the work done and another options for further measurements are proposed.
