Abstract

In my thesis I deal with the plan of the green wave of any number of ntersections. Each intersection is controled by a signaling plan that indicates when and in which order on the traffic lights appears green. I chose the signaling plans at the base of my bachelor thesis from year 2015. To make the green wave effective, the correct choice of the signaling plan is absolutely necessary. In the second chapter we describe the theory of a green wave, we introduce and explain the concept of the so called loss, we show how to select the best signaling plan using the graphical method and gradually get to the analytical method, by means of which we can choose a suitable signal plan for any distance of two intersections. In the penultimate chapter we describe how the coordination is done in practice and in the last chapter we present two exact algorithms for graphs coloring, which can be used for composition of signaling plans. In the conclusion, we summarize the results obtained by the method used for coordination in practice.
