Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with liquidity management in small and medium-sized enterprises with a focus on cash flow as a key indicator of financial stability. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of cash flow management on the liquidity and financial stability of a selected company and to formulate recommendations for more efficient use of financial resources.
The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of financial management, particularly liquidity, solvency and cash flow, and explains their relationships. It also highlights the limitations of traditional static liquidity ratios and emphasizes the importance of a dynamic approach based on cash flow analysis.
The practical part focuses on the financial analysis of ALFA, a.s., a company operating in the furniture manufacturing industry. The analysis covers the period 2021–2024 and applies selected methods of financial analysis, including liquidity ratios and cash flow analysis. The results indicate a high level of financial stability and the company’s ability to finance investments from its own resources, while also revealing excessive liquidity and less efficient capital utilization.
