Abstract
The main objective of this thesis was to focus on the reduction of organic pollutants contained in contaminated soil in the environment by biological methods. Furthermore, it was my task to experimentally determine which of the selected bacterial cultures has a better ability to remove the biodegradation of organic pollutants from contaminated sites.
In the theoretical part of the thesis I focused on describing the process of biodegradation, biodegradation technology division, I mentioned the companies that deal with biodegradation and the main section of the theoretical description and method of use of selected microorganisms - Pseudomonas putida and Rhodococcus sp. and characterization of organic pollutants, which were removed - polyaromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls and nonpolar extractable substances.
The experimental part was focused on a brief description of contaminated sites, course and nature of the research laboratory and the results of biodegradation of organic pollutants.
