Abstract

This bachelor thesis is focused on small hydro power plants. The thesis deals with reconstruction of turbines of concrete. Small hydro power plant Svinov. This ShPP is situated on the river Odra. The reconstruction is focused on operation optimisation, performance increase and it leads to long term profitability of company. This thesis explains theoretical background of electric energy production, describes the newest installed equipment, which will serve to remedy of current situation.The investment to new, more powerful turbines is economically evaluated with the use of methods of net present value (NPV) and discounted payback period (DPP).
