Abstract

This bachelors thesis deals with the precipitation of magnesium ammonium phosphate from digestate and sludge liquor. The first chapter describes the characteristics and formation of sludge water and digestate, which is followed by a brief description of the places of their origin i.e. biogas stations and waste treatment plant. The next chapter describes the options for treatment with digestate and sludge water. The conclusion of the theoretical part is dedicated for precipitation of phosphate and magnesium ions to form magnesium ammonium phosphate NH4MgPO4. The second part of this work is devoted to experimental verification of precipitation of phosphate and ammonia ions from the digestate and sludge water using magnesium hydroxide, magnesium sulphate and phosphoric acid as reagents.
