Abstract
Ensuring adequate education and skill development of employees can perform the work more efficiently, and thus contribute to the very successful business goals. In many cases employees regard purposeful education and skill development as a kind of reward, which is becoming one of the tools for preventing their turnover. Bachelor thesis aim is to recommend proposals for improvement based on analysis of the process of education and development of employees in the restaurant Alfa. In this work is defined human capital and human resources management, explained the role of the staff department and senior executives, and described the process of education and skill development. In the practical part is stated characteristic of the organization, analysis of internal documents and Alfa restaurant survey. A questionnaire survey was conducted right in the restaurant Alfa. The return rate of survey was hundred-per-cent. Employees could express their satisfaction with the process of education and development, interest in learning activities, etc. They had possibility to evaluate the progression of educational activities and, last but not least, indicate what motivate them. Based on the survey was found that the majority of respondents are satisfied to the process of education and skill development. The results were suggestions and recommendations for improvement. Some of these recommendations was that the restaurant Alfa ensure better awareness of employees about organized training, to enable their employees to rate the educational activities through an evaluation form and was suggested to arrange English language courses for employees. The more motivated employees to education and development, the more effective will be the whole process of education and development.
