Zmapovaní aktuálního stavu a problémů finanční gramotnosti v České republice

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with mapping the current state and problems of financial literacy in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis is to map the current state and problems of financial literacy in the Czech Republic. The partial aims are to identify the main problematic areas and population groups most at risk of financial illiteracy, and to place the findings in a broader European context. The theoretical part defines the concept of financial literacy, describes its individual components and places it in the context of financial education and financial well-being. The practical part analyses the level of financial literacy among selected population groups — pupils and young people as well as the adult population — and examines regional differences in indebtedness as an indirect indicator of financial literacy. The thesis further compares the position of the Czech Republic in the European context and formulates its own proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the level of financial literacy. The analysis is based on secondary data from surveys conducted by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, the PISA 2022 survey, the Financial Literacy Index of the Czech Banking Association and other academic sources.
