Návrh a testování konfigurace IED REX640 vhodné pro chránění generátorů vodních elektráren

Abstract

This thesis addresses the issue of generator protection systems in hydroelectric power plants. The primary objective is to design the configuration and settings of generator protection functions using the REX640 Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) from ABB, followed by the verification of these settings using the Omicron CMC 500 test set. The thesis analyses the extent to which this multi-application relay can replace specialized generator protection units. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of the most common fault conditions of synchronous generators and the principles of their detection. The practical part then describes in detail the specific design of the protection scheme, the calculation of protection function parameters, and the methods of testing to verify their correct operation.
