Vrcholový sport v podmínkách hornického města Havířov

Abstract

The Bachelor thesis deals with the history, present and future of the top sport in conditions of Havířov mining city and its close surroundings. Includes geographic, demographic, political and cultural specifics in this area, informations on the achievements of sports results which can be interpreted as a peak in terms of national, European or world sport. The next part of bachelor thesis describes the most successful sports and clubs that operate or operated in Havířov region. Also the thesis comprises the most important personality of Havířov sport that shaped the history of this city´s Ota Zaremba. The concluding part evaluates the current state and prospects of the top sport in this area depending on funding, grants and sponsorship of activities.
