Abstract
This thesis deals with induction heat treatment. Theoretical background deals with physical basics of induction heating and possibility of its use for heat treatment. The experimental part is focused on heat treatment of low alloy and carbon steel bars in company Třinecké železárny, a.s. This thesis describes induction heat treatment in this company and includes tests of mechanical properties and evaluation of microstructure for different modes of hardening. On the basis of obtained results there are recommendations to improve production.
